Sure, just let me know which server/name at least xD;?
Hmm… I’d say they’ll start out the day pretty clean and groomed, but by the end of the day after romping around and whatnot they’ll be covered in junk without a care LOL
While the Keaton side has a tendency to collect stuff, the Kaden side would at least not make it just trash xD Maybe they’ll have the ability to suss out amazing treasure instead, especially when you combine their adventurous/outgoing personalities haha
Not yet, but a healer fusion is planned for this round, maybe 5-6 fusions more :)
(hint: ‘S’ and ‘L’)
Referenced from the screenshots mainly :)
Some like Ali and Odette only exist as tiny sprites in screenshots, so those definitely took more guesswork and are personal takes. Some like Darius, you get the big battle sprite to reference from. And for some like Zeph or Yusufa, there are existing illustrations around (eg. official Octopath twitter art, or end cards).
I have come across this link recently that has loads of concept art reference for quite a few bosses and characters. Big warning for spoilers (unless you don’t mind)!
Of course, best scenario is if they release a huge-ass artbook like the Bravely ones :D
◯◯◯◯◯ = T H I R D ?!
hype is oooooon
Heya! and Thank you :D Just happy people have played Bravely series as well haha
Hello! Won’t be repeating the classes, sorry ^^;
Therion haha, mainly so I could steal some good gear early :x
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the game too!
Verdict so far: Yes!
It pretty much has a lot of my favorite combinations of systems from various JRPGs that are more traditional/turn-based, very ‘old-school’, with emphasis on exploring, discovery, class combinations, and how each battle is a ‘puzzle’ (meaning you can’t just bash through wild battles with the same attack).
I’d say the battle system takes from SMT’s Press Turn (exploit weaknesses to deny enemy from attacking) and the ‘Brave’ mechanic from Bravely series (storing turns for max damage).
The storytelling method in this game may not be for everyone - some prefer an overarching epic story that ties all the party members together, but I think this is more of individual tales and tidbits that you learn as you travel with everyone. Personally after playing through so many other epic stories recently, it’s refreshing to have a simpler version :)
The characters on their own have various personalities and quirks, and the script/translation is well-written. Even NPCs on the overworld and in towns have their own stuff going on, and it’s fun doing little side-quests for them.
Graphics = sprites + the diorama look, with some awesome effects :D The vignette filtering can be a bit overbearing at times but you can always turn it off in the settings.
All this is still from early-game, I have only recruited 4/8 characters, and not even scratched the surface with the whole sub-job system. Can’t wait to experience the rest~
