Emi is another enigma among the group - she was first discovered by Aquila as a strange hooded intruder, found rummaging in their camp belongings. After a short scuffle, the group was shocked to learn she was one of the elusive Manaketes. Taking advantage of the confusion (and grabbing a bunch of food), she managed to slip out of their grasp and seemingly escaped. It wasn’t long into their trip to the next town when they realised she was still following them quite sneakily.
The combined efforts of Glynn and Alexis managed to entrap her, and Aquila took the opportunity to converse with her. She eventually opened up to him and the rest of the members, and they decided to take her along with them, if only to keep her safe from those who would harm her kind.
For now, her intentions are unknown, although Emi has mentioned she is looking for her ‘friends’. Despite her young, wild appearance, she does behave quite maturely. She only has a limited grasp of human vocabulary, however, she seems to be able to understand others perfectly fine. If she wishes to communicate, she prefers to show, not tell.
Being nimble and stealthy, with a keen sense of hearing, she usually acts as a scout or lookout for the group. Despite her lithe figure, enemies usually regret underestimating her as she packs a mean punch…and that’s before she turns into her dragon form.
Trivia:
- sometimes switches to fast gibberish when trying to get her point across, which may be her native tongue
- seems to have an iron-cast stomach - she’s able to easily munch on wild plants and animals normally deemed poisonous (or disgusting)
- her current cloak is a precious gift from Aquila, since her previous one was tattered as heck

Alexis prefers blending into the background in conversations, coming off as shy and hesitant. Whenever he’s urged to speak his mind on matters, he’ll usually end his sentences in “…maybe”. He’s not necessarily afraid, but just does not like to stand out. He is adept in healing artes, and is able to produce an array of soothing balm and teas.
Originally forced to join an elite military school, his father wanted him to be a man and warrior he could be proud of. Alexis intentionally blundered his way through training, leaving his instructors exasperated and his family embarrassed. He was then more or less abandoned to his own devices, leaving Alexis free to help and support people in his own way.
While he usually plays the part of a meek healer, when isolated or outnumbered, Alexis will lapse back into his ‘soldier mode’, unleashing a variety of hidden weapons on his unsuspecting opponents.
His hobbies include working with Yuudai to craft tea recipes for the group to try, his own specialty being ‘pollen tea’. He also enjoys observing insects and recording their strange behavior, even for hours on end.
Trivia:
- thanks to his constant brewing of pollen and other aromatic tea, bugs usually end up following him around (to Aquila’s horror)
- likes to sleep in, if you wake him up too early, he’ll likely activate ‘soldier mode’ on you
- often mistaken for a schoolboy, due to his short stature (even shorter than Nezumi!) and youthful looks

Affectionately called ‘Old Man’ by the rest of the group, Yuudai is known to be a reliable and fatherly figure. Due to his years of experience through serving the army, he acts as their tactician, working with Aquila and Jeanne to churn out strategies and to quickly seize goals. He places emphasis on being efficient in missions - meaning having minimal encounters and losses. While some of the more gungho members may see it as him being overcautious, he merely does not wish for his companions to be hurt unnecessarily.
Having traveled extensively before joining the group, Yuudai knows to stay open-minded, and is never one to judge others harshly. He’ll lend a listening ear to those with troubles. Despite being older then the rest, he does not mind getting rough with the others through their combined training sessions, and is even likely to teach them a lesson or two in combat.
Yuudai’s hobbies include penning out fictional stories based on their adventures and encounters as keepsakes, even including funny sketches on the pages. He also enjoys brewing a nice cup of tea whenever he can.
Trivia:
- his flashy hairstyle was created by his loving wife - he still visits her from time to time
- whenever he runs out of wheat to chew on, he’ll turn to just grabbing a loose feather from his steed. It helps him think (supposedly)
- has actually managed to publish the first volume of his stories so far, without the others knowing. So far, reviews have been pretty good!

Noting her abilities in a skirmish, Aquila formally invited Jeanne to join the mercenary group he set up, giving her the nickname ‘Battle Maiden’. While normally refined and a little haughty, on the battlefield she is known to turn extremely frenzied, as she has a strong desire to prove herself. Always the one to lead the charge, she strikes terror from atop her wyvern mount, Muffin.
Noble-born, her lineage consists of many celebrated knights and warriors. Despite being the first daughter in decades, her parents wanted to raise her to be a prim and proper bride to be married off to another military family. Jeanne rebelled fiercely, and insisted on joining her brothers in their training. She will gladly boast of how she was the first amongst them to wrestle her own wyvern into submission, and then tame him into a loyal lifelong companion.
Jeanne has a sweet spot for cupcakes, something she was disbarred from eating when young. While on break, she’ll spend time going through rigorous training with Muffin. She’ll also boss the other members around if she finds them goofing off too much.
Trivia:
- Jeanne’s attempts at baking her own cupcakes usually end up looking and tasting like rocks (or as Glynn calls it, 'Muffinshit’).
- she has 5 older brothers, all who are still stuck at home training
- added frills to her own armor, as she thought she’d look more ‘approachable’ (doesn’t work so well with enemy bloodstains everywhere)

Glynn tends to be quite juvenile and cheeky, and is known for getting into occasional trouble with Nezumi. Between the two, Glynn is much more childish, and he gets bored easily. He does display a cunning wit at times, but usually he doesn’t chip in as he knows the rest will do the thinking for him. He also lacks tact, which could easily anger those who don’t know him well.
Glynn has the idealistic view of “robbing the rich to help the poor”. This stems from a rough childhood spent on the streets, where he started nursing a grudge against the elite. Spending time with Aquila and Jeanne has helped to open his mind a little, but he still doesn’t mind kicking a snobby noble’s butt now and then.
Always on the lookout for the next great heist, Glynn loves to showcase his talents - namely lockpicking, navigating traps, solving puzzles, and just having an exhilarating time. He’s also handy with a bow, and he’ll definitely play dirty in a battle.
Trivia:
- despite his bravado, he gets nervous around large animals
- has sewn at least 20 well-hidden pockets into various parts of his attire
- often tries to sneak trinkets away to sell, but usually gets caught by Aquila or Nezumi

Nezumi (nicknamed ‘Zoomy’) is quite a cheerful chatterbox. She acts as the negotiator of the group, being able to steer conversations and dealings to their advantage. Her inquisitive nature means that she can’t help barging into people’s business, but because of this she picks up gossip and rumors easily.
Originally a student of a magic/alchemy school, Nezumi was known to butt heads with her teachers and fellow classmates. She preferred working with practical magic on her own, rather than memorising books, and was always questioning lessons. In the end, she chose to leave the school, but thankfully joined up with Aquila’s group not long after.
Her hobbies include mad experiments, usually involving Glynn (bestie and partner-in-crime) or Aquila as guinea pigs. Nezumi also enjoys telling stories around the campfire.
Trivia:
- her bell accessories are good luck charms for her
- ‘Zoomy’ comes from how she ‘zooms’ around on the battlefield, as she hates staying in one place while casting
- likes to ‘mix’ up different potent magic spells, to the horror of enemies
- dislikes reading or as she puts it, ‘staring at chicken scratches’

Here’s the first of my FE OC profiles!
Aquila, leader of the mercenary group “Fearless”. His unsightly scar make him seem unapproachable, but he is actually friendly, diplomatic, and well-spoken. He is usually seen observing a situation quietly first, only stepping in when needed. On the field, he is a calm and decisive commander, and an unyielding force in battle as well.
No one in the group knows Aquila’s history or how he came to bear such a hideous wound which left him half-blind. The other members suspect he was from a highborn family, due to his noble bearing and familiarity with their customs.
Aquila formed Fearless with the intention of carrying on his father’s wishes, as written in a worn letter, one of the few belongings he possesses. He hopes to learn about and protect his fellow people, be they simple villagers or hardened warriors, and is willing to have the group lend a helping hand if they can.
While on the road/travelling, he’ll catch up on books to read, especially about history and geography. He’ll also take the time to accompany any of the members on their activities/hobbies.
Trivia:
- his hairstyle is just a very bad case of bed-hair, but he’ll insist it’s a style
- his armor is actually a well-worn family heirloom, although he has made a few color modifications…
- while he isn’t bothered about his scar and how it looks on him, please don’t touch it, he finds it ticklish!
- does not like bugs. at all.
small break but I’m back :D wanted to start fleshing out some of the FE OCs I had before, will get character sheets done!
I like what Cipher does with their original characters where they give them a base class and they get to be whatever promoted class depending on the series/game. Right now this bunch is mostly based off the Fates classes, but they’ll be updated when FE16 rolls around~
